Handoff includes a Contacts screen where you can manage leads, clients, and other contacts in one place. Track where leads come from, record their details, and convert them into active projects when the job is won.

Creating a New Contact

  1. Go to Contacts from the main navigation.

  2. Tap the + button to create a new contact.

  3. Fill in the contact form:

    • Name

    • Contact Type (e.g. Homeowner, Builder, Property Manager)

    • Email

    • Phone

    • Address

    • Referral source (e.g. Word of mouth, Google, Referral from client)

  4. Toggle Also create new project if you want to create a project for this contact at the same time.

  5. Tap Create contact (or Create contact & project).

Creating a Lead Project

When creating a project, you can set its status to Lead. This lets you track potential jobs in your pipeline without mixing them in with active work.

Leads can be converted to active projects as you win the job and begin work.

Filtering and Organizing Contacts

The Contacts screen lets you filter by contact type, so you can quickly view all leads, all homeowners, or all commercial clients separately.

Activity Tracking

Each contact has its own profile page that shows:

  • All projects linked to that contact

  • Estimates, proposals, and invoices created for them

  • Communication history

This gives you a complete picture of your relationship with each client at a glance.
