The Proposals feature allows you to instantly convert AI-generated estimates into professional, ready-to-send proposals with a single click.
Creating Proposals: To create a proposal from an estimate in Handoff, click the green “Create proposal” button.
On desktop, this button is typically located in the top right corner of the estimate page. If your screen is zoomed in, it may appear at the bottom instead.
On the mobile app, the button is always displayed along the bottom of the screen.
Editing Company Information: The header section of a proposal allows for the editing of company details, including the company logo, license information, and contact phone number. This ensures that all proposals are personalized and professional.
Editing the "Client Message": The feature includes an AI-crafted message in the proposal's header, which can be edited to provide a friendly and welcoming introduction to the client.
Summarizing Options (Your Preference): Instead of itemizing every single scope of work, the proposals summarize the estimates into group totals with bullet points, making it easier for clients to understand the key aspects of the project. You can also use the gear icon to toggle between other display options with greater detail.
Lump Sum Option: You can choose to lump sum the total estimate, displaying a single total value at the bottom of the proposal instead of itemizing each line. This is helpful when you want to keep the pricing simple and focused on the overall project value.
Attachments: Users can attach any files to the proposal, such as project plans, photos, and spec sheets. You can also save standard attachments that you'd like on every job.
Terms and Conditions: The footer section of the proposal allows users to copy paste and edit your standard Terms and Conditions. This is the place to mention warranty, client responsibilities, agreement language, and change order terms.
Invoicing: Create invoices within the proposal to define your payment schedule. Options include lump sum billing or percentage-based splits (e.g., 25/25/50 or 50/50).
Enable “Require Signature” to have your client sign and approve the proposal directly within Handoff.
These features collectively enhance the functionality and user-friendliness of the proposals, making it easier to create, manage, and present professional proposals to clients.
