How Do I Send My Estimate on the Starter Plan?

Normally, Handoff users send their estimates by converting them to a proposal. This is done by toggling between "Estimate" and "Proposal" at the top center of your screen. You can tap on the word "Proposal," prepare your proposal layout, and then send it to your client. However, this feature is only available on our Business Tier Plan.

If you’re on the Starter Tier Plan, you can still send estimates outside of Handoff by exporting to PDF or printing. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open Handoff: Go to the Estimates Dashboard.

  2. Select Estimate: Click on the estimate you want to send.

  3. Export or Print: Click the three-dot menu in the top right corner and look for the "Export to PDF" or "Print" options.

  4. Prepare PDF: These options will prepare a PDF that can be attached to an email or printed for a hard copy to give to your client.

The exported PDF will show item quantities, item unit costs, item totals, and group totals. Your markups are included in the item costs, so they remain confidential and are not shown to your clients.

If you want to send estimates directly from Handoff without exporting to PDF, you can upgrade to our Business Tier Plan. To upgrade:

  1. From your Estimates Dashboard, click the menu in the top left corner.

  2. Look for an option saying "Subscribe" or "Manage My Subscription."

  3. From there, you can upgrade to the Business Tier Plan.

By upgrading, you’ll gain access to the proposal feature, allowing you to send estimates directly from Handoff seamlessly.
