Handoff is currently designed for contractors working in the United States. Several core features are built specifically for the US market, which limits full functionality for users outside the country.
This article explains how international use is affected and what to expect if you are located outside the United States.
US-Specific System Design
Handoff is optimized for US-based construction workflows in the following ways:
AI pricing is trained on US material costs, labor rates, and construction standards
Pricing is displayed in USD
Measurements use the imperial system, including feet and inches
Phone number login requires a US phone number
Address lookup and location-based pricing are limited to US addresses
What This Means in Practice
If You Are a US-Based Contractor
Handoff works fully as intended for contractors located in and operating within the United States.
If You Are Located Outside the US
You may experience the following limitations:
Phone number verification: Canadian and other international phone numbers are not supported for login
AI pricing accuracy: Estimates reflect US labor and material costs, which may not align with your local market
Address input: Google Places search is optimized for US addresses
Future Plans
Handoff is currently focused on serving the US market. International support may be added in the future.
