Step-by-Step Instructions
Option 1: Generate a Schedule with AI
Use this option if your project already has an estimate and you want to quickly create a schedule.
Open the project
Go to the Schedule tab
Click Generate schedule if no schedule exists
Review the estimate in the AI chat assistant
Enter a project start date when prompted
Wait for the AI to generate the schedule
Review the generated phases, durations, and dependencies
Edit or regenerate the schedule at any time through the chat
Option 2: Add Phases Manually
Use this option if you want to build the schedule yourself.
Open the project.
Go to the Schedule tab.
Click the + button or New button in the schedule header.
Select Phase or Event from the dropdown.
Enter the schedule details, including at least a title and start and end dates.
Click Create to save.
Repeat these steps for each phase or event in your project timeline.
Additional Notes
Each project can have one schedule
Schedules can be edited at any time after creation
Phases represent work segments such as Framing or Rough MEP
Events represent calendar items such as inspections or meetings
AI schedule generation requires a Pro subscription
Existing schedules remain editable on all plans
The AI uses your estimate to determine scope
Only a start date is required for AI generation
Schedules are versioned, so previous versions can be restored
The schedule appears on the Project Overview for quick access
Troubleshooting
AI schedule generation is not available
Cause: Your workspace is not on a Pro plan
Solution: Upgrade to a Pro subscription to enable AI schedule generation
The AI asks for a start date
Cause: This is expected behavior
Solution: Provide a start date so the schedule can be generated
You want to undo AI changes
Cause: AI creates a new version each time it updates the schedule
Solution: Open version history and restore a previous version
