Share a daily log
Open the project and go to the Daily Logs tab.

Tap the 3-dot menu.
Select Preview and share.
Review the preview to confirm how the log will appear to the client.
Choose a recipient:
Tap Select client to choose an existing contact.
Tap Share without contact to create a general link.
Select one or more sharing methods:
Email: Send the log to the contact’s email address. You can override the email if needed.
SMS: Send the log via text message. You can override the phone number if needed.
Share (link): Copy the link (desktop) or open the share sheet (mobile).
Tap Share (mobile) or Send / Copy link (desktop).
Share to the Client Portal
Confirm the client has portal access from the Project Overview tab.
Open the daily log.
Tap the 3-dot menu.
Select Share to portal.
The log will appear in the client’s portal Updates feed. To remove it:
Open the same menu.
Select Remove from portal.
Viewing shared log status
Shared logs display a Shared badge in the daily log list.
Inside the log, a lock icon shows when it was shared.
When the client opens the link for the first time, an “opened” timestamp is recorded.
Additional Notes
Daily logs cannot be edited after sharing.
You must have Edit permission on daily logs to share them.
Shared links open a public, read-only page with no login required.
Links remain active as long as the daily log exists.
Overriding a contact’s email or phone number does not change the associated contact.
SMS messages include a standard notification with a link to the log.
Your team is notified whenever a daily log is shared.
You can also share daily logs using the AI chat assistant by requesting it directly.
Troubleshooting
Unable to share to the Client Portal
Confirm the client has been granted portal access from the Project Overview tab.
Unable to edit a log after sharing
This is expected behavior. Duplicate or recreate the log if changes are needed.
Client did not receive the log
Verify the email address or phone number used.
Try sharing again using a different method, such as copying the link.
Client cannot access the link
Confirm the link was copied or sent correctly.
Ensure the daily log still exists and has not been deleted.
