To bring in magicplan floor plans, connect magicplan in Settings > Integrations & API keys, then match each scan to a Handoff project. Nothing is imported until you confirm the destination project, and measurements are only used in estimates after you confirm them.
Available on the Pro and Scale plans. You need permission to view Company settings and a magicplan account with API access, which requires a magicplan Pro subscription. Works on desktop and in the mobile app.
Connect your magicplan account
In magicplan, generate an API key and Customer ID.
In Handoff, go to Settings > Integrations & API keys.
On the Integrations tab, select Connect on the magicplan row.
In the Connect to magicplan dialog, enter your API Key and Customer ID.
Select Connect magicplan.
If you are not sure where to find the credentials, select Where do I find these? in the dialog.
Scan a room and export from magicplan
Scan the room in the magicplan app as you normally do, then select Export in magicplan. The export tells Handoff a new scan is ready. Handoff also checks magicplan for new scans about every 15 minutes.
Match a scan to a Handoff project
Go to Settings > Integrations & API keys.
On the magicplan row, select View projects.
On the magicplan projects page, find the scan. Its status is Matched or Not matched.
Select Import magicplan projects.
In the Handoff project column, pick the project for each scan. Handoff suggests a project by address first, then by name.
Select Import.
Handoff imports a scan only after you confirm the destination project. A scan that does not match a project stays Not matched until you assign it. To change a match later, open the row menu and select Match project or Unmatch.
Confirm the measurements before you estimate
Open the project, then open the floor plan from its Files.
Review the room names and measurements. In the mobile app, select View measurements to see them.
Select I reviewed the room names and measurements.
Select Confirm measurements.
After you confirm, Handy (Handoff's AI assistant) and your estimate can use the measurements. magicplan brings in the floor plan and measurements, but you still build the estimate.
Disconnect or update magicplan
On the magicplan row, select Manage. Select Update credentials to enter a new API key or Customer ID, or select Disconnect. After you disconnect, new scans stop syncing, and floor plans already imported stay in your projects.
