Written by Handoff Support

The Handoff free trial lasts 7 days, needs no credit card, and works like the Pro plan. The one big difference is that online payments are turned off during the trial.

Applies to all plans. Works on desktop and in the mobile app.

What you can use during the trial

The free trial gives you the Pro plan's features, including unlimited AI credits, unlimited service catalogs, and 5 seats. You can use it to test whether Handoff fits your business.

  • Included: projects, clients, AI estimating, proposals, invoices, and change orders.

  • Not included: online payments and Success Coach onboarding.

Because online payments are off, you can still send an invoice. Your client pays you outside Handoff, for example by check, cash, or a payment app, and you mark the invoice as paid yourself.

How the 7 days work

The 7 days start when you finish onboarding. Handoff does not ask for a card, so the trial ends on its own and nothing is charged.

A banner shows how many days are left and has an Upgrade button. You can also select Subscribe in Settings at any time.

What happens when the trial ends

When the 7 days are up, a Trial expired message appears with a Subscribe button. You can't create new projects, estimates, or clients until you subscribe, and paid features turn off.

To keep going, subscribe to a plan. See How to subscribe or upgrade your plan.

Extend your trial

You can't extend the trial yourself in the app. Contact support, and a member of the team will talk with you about more time.
