To organize an estimate by CSI division, ask Handy (Handoff's AI assistant) in chat to do it. Handoff has no built-in CSI format, so this is a request. Handy names the groups from what you ask.
Available on all plans. You need permission to edit Estimates. Works on desktop and in the mobile app.
Ask Handy to organize by CSI division
Open the estimate.
Select Ask Handy to open the chat.
Enter a request such as "Organize this estimate by CSI division."
Handy groups your items under division names. A reorganization keeps the grand total the same. Check the result, because Handoff does not check division names or numbers. Ask for changes in chat, such as moving the light fixtures into Division 26.
Build the divisions by hand
Add a group. On desktop, hover below the last row and select Add group. In the mobile app, select the + button (Add row) in the toolbar above the estimate, then select Add group.
Rename the group, for example "Division 03 Concrete."
Drag each item into the group it belongs to. In the mobile app, press and hold an item before you drag it.
Repeat for each division.
The groups sit at the top level of the estimate unless it already has sections. For the full editing steps, see How to edit items on an estimate.
Add CSI-style cost codes
If your company uses cost codes, you can also put a code on each item. Cost codes are set up in Settings and are available on the Pro and Scale plans. They are separate from groups.
Export the estimate
Open the options menu (three dots), select Export as, then select CSV or PDF.
