Handoff allows you to generate estimates organized by CSI Division with AI. This is format is particularly useful for commercial contractors and GCs, who may need to submit bids by division. Follow these steps to create and organize your estimates using CSI divisions:

1. Generate the initial estimate with AI:

• Enter your project details in the prompt (e.g., "ground-up, one-story office, 50x50").

• Include standard details like slab, ACT, metal framing, etc.

• Submit the prompt to generate a standard Handoff estimate.

2. Have the AI reorganize the estimate into CSI format:

• After the initial estimate is generated, add a new instruction to reorganize it.

• Use a prompt like: "Please reorganize the estimate with groups names as CSI divisions. For example, 03 Concrete, 07 Roofing, etc."

3. Review the reorganized estimate:

• Handoff will update the estimate, reorganizing and renaming groups to match CSI divisions. Double check the labels, and verify that the total estimate value remains unchanged.

4. Convert to Proposal (Business Tier users)

• Use the proposal feature to toggle your estimate to a client-facing proposal with a single click.

• The proposal will display your estimate broken out by CSI divisions.

• This allows you to present division-specific costs to your client (e.g., Openings, Finishes, Plumbing, Div 23, Div 26).

Remember, you will need to generate the estimate in standard format first and then convert it to CSI format as a second step.
