To add photos and videos to a daily log, open the log and select Add photos. On desktop you can also drag files into the log. In the mobile app you can select Camera to capture new media.
Available on the Pro and Scale plans. You need permission to edit Daily logs. Works on desktop and in the mobile app.
Add photos and videos from your device or project
Open the project, select the Daily Logs tab, and open a log or create a new one.
Select Add photos.
Choose where the media comes from. Desktop offers Upload files, From project files, and From global files. The mobile app also offers Choose photos.
Select the photos or videos you want.
The files appear as thumbnails in the log. A spinner tile shows while a file uploads, and Add photos is unavailable until the upload finishes. Videos show a play icon.
Drag and drop on desktop
On desktop, drag photos or videos from your computer into the dashed area that says "or drag & drop them here". Handoff uploads them and shows thumbnails.
Capture with the camera in the mobile app
In the mobile app, open the daily log.
Select Camera. It shows only while the log has no photos or videos yet.
Choose Photo, Video, or Walkthrough at the bottom of the camera.
Capture your media and confirm it.
Once the log has media, select the + tile in the thumbnail grid and choose Take photos to use the camera again. Camera video recorded in the app can run up to 3 minutes.
File limits
File types: Only photos and videos. Other file types such as PDFs can't be added.
File size: Up to 200 MB for each file.
Files at once: Up to 25 files at a time in the mobile app and 50 on desktop. Handoff adds the first ones and tells you if extras were dropped.
Remove a photo or video
Select the X on a thumbnail, labeled Remove photo. Select Done when you finish. A daily log you've shared with a client can't be changed, so add all media before you share it.
Photos and videos you add also appear in the project Files tab.
